Pete’s on the Hot Seat

No one’s saying Pete Carroll hasn’t done more good than bad for USC, but the world of college football is constantly changing. Maybe it’s time to move beyond Pete Carroll and return USC to its former glory.

Just look at the facts:

FACT: Pete Carroll has not won a National Championship in over four years.

FACT: Pete Carroll has lost to both Notre Dame AND ucla.

FACT: Pete Carroll has lost a season’s worth of games.

FACT: Pete Carroll has reserved most of his losses for big games on national television.

FACT: Pete Carroll is content with just winning the Rose Bowl year after year.

Join us as we let Coach Carroll know his job is only as safe as he makes it.

Founders:

DontBendDontBreak hails from the South, where football is king.  During high school, his team won the state championship four years in a row, a feat it accomplished by changing coaches.  He first came to USC in 2001, the same year that Pete Carroll arrived on the scene.  While they both enjoyed moderate success at first, DontBendDontBreak has continued to build off of his.  He currently works on campus at USC where he must hear about Coach Carroll’s greatness day in and day out.

EstablishTheRun is reluctant to admit he was born in the college football backwaters of Oklahoma. Shortly after, because God loves him, his parents moved to the beautifully inclement state of Washington, where UW was good (remember?) and girls were pretty. He first came to USC in 2000, where he experienced the best and worst our alma mater had to offer when USC was both ‘College of the Year’ and tied for last in the Pac-10. The trauma of USC’s worst-ever football season still haunts his dreams and fuels his passions. He will not rest until USC returns to glory.
